Jeeshant
Founder & Lead Naturalist
Born in Balaghat district, just a stone's throw from Kanha's forests, Jeeshant grew up with the sounds of the jungle as his lullaby. His teenage was spent exploring sal forests, learning bird calls, and developing an intuitive understanding of forest ecosystems.
The Journey
After completing his studies, Jeeshant chose to return to his roots rather than pursue urban opportunities. He began volunteering with the Madhya Pradesh Forest Department, participating in wildlife censuses and habitat surveys.
His dedication led him to pursue formal naturalist training, earning Tourism and Hospitality Skill Council (THSC) certification, becoming one of the region's most knowledgeable guides.
Over the years, Jeeshant has tracked tigers through every zone of Kanha, documented rare bird sightings, and developed deep relationships with local communities.
Van Srijan was born from his desire to share the forest with travelers who seek more than just wildlife sightings — but understanding, respect, and conservation impact.
Guiding Philosophy
“The forest doesn't reveal its secrets to those who rush. Patience, silence, and respect are the keys to truly experiencing the wild.”
— Jeeshant
